Head of Research
Mr. Leo Hu is the Head of Research of Admiralty Harbour Financial Group.
Prior to joining AHFG, Mr. Hu was a director and lead analyst at S&P Global Ratings Hong Kong office. He led a team of 6 analysts and covered all Chinese manufacturing, transportation and engineering & construction companies rated by S&P Global Ratings. His detailed responsibilities included overseeing the accuracy and timely rating action of the team’s credit portfolio, idea generation & drafting of sector key research articles, conducting investor outreach activities through webcasts, face-to-face meetings and conference calls.
In addition, Mr. Hu acted as primary analysts during his tenure at S&P Global Ratings. His coverage included Chinese engineering & construction companies (China State Constriction Engineering, China Railway Group, China Railway Construction, Power Construction Group, China Metallugical Engineering, etc); auto companies (China FAW Group, Dongfeng Motor Group, Geely Automotive, etc.); transportation infrastructure companies (Shanghai Port Group, etc.); and Oil & Gas companies (China Oilfield Services, etc.).
Prior to joining S&P Global Ratings, Mr. Hu was an associate director in the Debt Capital Markets team at UBS in Hong Kong. His responsibilities included providing credit analysis and identifying offshore bond candidates among Chinese corporates; execution of international bond offering transaction of mandated clients. He was also an analyst at Debt Capital Markets team of Bank of America Merrill Lynch with similar responsibilities.
Mr. Hu holds a bachelor's degree in BA (Economics & Finance) from the University of Hong Kong.
